100% Wool cover | Single coloured
The 100% wool cover is made of high quality organic merino wool. The wool comes from European mulesing-free and organic livestock farming, and is span under fair conditions in Germany. It is dyed with vegetable dyes. The main dyes used are madder root, mignonette, indigo, yellowwood, logwood, and redwood. A wonderfully natural fabric whose components are sustainably obtained and processed. Wool nappies made of pure wool are soft, stretchable, and extra tight due to the two layers of wool.
The wool cover must be greased with wool fat (lanolin) before first use to get water-repellent. It must further be combined with absorbing inserts (e.g., cotton flat, hemp flat, or muslin cloth) to form a complete nappy. The wool cover is available in the following sizes: Size 1 (ca. 4-7 kg), Size 2 (ca. 7-12 kg) and Size 3 (ca. 11-16 kg). Please note that the weight information of the sizes can only be an estimate, as the fit depends on the stature of the respective child.

Hemp Booster | short
Absorbing inserts made of hemp are real suction miracles. They are put beneath a fast absorbing layer of e.g., a pure cotton liner or a cotton folding insert, but they are also great in combination with muslin nappies. The booster is 2-ply sewn and is used as an extra absorbing layer exactly where it's needed: For boys rather at the front and for girls in the middle of the nappy. Even after washing and drying on a drying rack it stays relatively soft and will not harden.
Material: 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 13 x 16 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days
Hemp Booster | slim
Hemp/cotton boosters are thin but absorbent and are used to increase the absorbency of the insoles. This version of the booster is specially designed for the "Lottje" prefold and fits perfectly in the pocket. It is slightly narrower than Jovoh's long booster. The booster is sewn in two layers.
Material: 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 10 x 30 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days
Cloth with leaves
The cloth can be used as a burp cloth, scarf or even a nappy and will accompany you for many months of your child's life. It is made from soft organic cotton, which does not contain any chemicals or harmful substances.
Material: 100% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 70 x 70 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days
Muslin nappy | large
Muslin nappies made of 100% organic cotton are great companions, especially for newborns and infants. Cotton absorbs the moisture quickly and passes it on downwards, but still allows moisture feedback. It will accompany you throughout the entire nappy time, from the first day until the last. The cloth can be folded as a basic nappy around the child (being held together with a nappy fastener) or directly placed in the wool cover. The fabric has a relatively high own weight and absorbs sufficient amount of moisture. In addition, the edge of the muslin diaper is simply trimmed, so that the development of pressure points on the child’s skin is reduced.
Material: 100% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 70 x 70 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days
Cotton Flat
The cotton flat is made of 100% organic cotton and is ideal as top layer in direct contact to your child. Cotton absorbs the moisture quickly and pass it on downwards, but still allow moisture feedback. The insert is cuddly and soft. It will accompany you throughout the entire time of changing nappies, from the first day until the last.
- It can be used as a basic nappy, being closed with a snap (see photo). Suitable especially for newborns.
- Divided into thirds, it is ideal for newborn covers (size 1), as it offers sufficient suction volume and at the same time catches the still liquid faeces due to the loop-like structure of the terrycloth fabric. Faeces from breast feeding or artificial milk can easily be washed out in the washing machine
-
Folded along the narrow side, it is ideal for wool covers of size 2 and 3. In combination with a hemp booster it guarantees enough absorption capacity. Single, it can be used for short changing intervals.
Cotton Liner
Inserts made of 100% organic cotton are ideal as top layer. They absorb the moisture quickly and pass it on downwards, but still allow moisture feedback. The liner is cuddly, soft, and not bulky. It will accompany you throughout the entire time of changing nappies, from the first day until the last. In addition, terrycloth liners are ideal for newborns, because the loop-like structure of the fabric reliably catches the still liquid faeces. The wool cover gets hence dirty less often. Combine the cotton liner also with a hemp flat to allow quick absorption.
Material: 100% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 12 x 30 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days
Hemp Booster | long
Absorbing inserts made of hemp are real suction miracles. They are put beneath a fast absorbing layer of e.g., a pure cotton liner or a cotton folding insert, but they are also great in combination with muslin nappies. The booster is 2-ply sewn and makes a slim but highly absorbing insert for newborn and larger wool covers. Even after washing and drying on a drying rack it stays relatively soft and will not harden.
Material: 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 13 x 30 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days
Hemp Flat
Inserts made of hemp are real suction miracles. The insert is 2-ply sewn and can be folded up to three times so that 6 layers are on top of each other. Divided into thirds along the long side, it is ideal for newborn covers (size 1), whereas folded along the narrow side, it fits in the wool covers of size 2 and 3. It should be put beneath a fast absorbing layer (pure cotton liner).
Material: 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 33 x 36 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days

Wool cover | cotton & wool | Customised order
The wool cover is made of organic merino wool and stretchable (organic) cotton jersey, and must be combined with absorbing inserts to form a complete nappy. As lining you can choose between knitted wool, wool fleece, and fine boiled wool made of 100% organic merino wool. The wool must be greased with wool fat (lanolin) before first use to get water-repellent.
Size guide
The wool cover is available in four sizes: Size 1 (ca. 4-7 kg), size 2 (ca. 7-12 kg) and size 3 (ca. 11-16 kg), and as a one-size nappy (ca. 7-16 kg). Please note that the weight information of the sizes can only be an estimate, as the fit depends on the stature of the respective child. The one-size nappy corresponds to size 3 with reduction buttons and can be, at least at the beginning, too large for very slim children.
The type of outer fabric also makes a difference on how the nappy fit. Wool covers made from stretchable fabric tend to adapt better to the child’s stature and are suitable for stronger children. According to experience, they also fit longer than covers made from non-stretchy fabrics (e.g., pure cotton) and this is especially important for newborns. Non-stretchy covers on the other hand are more likely to retain their shape and are recommended for slim children. If there are only a few but very absorbent inserts, wool covers made of non-stretchable fabrics are more suitable, as they give the nappy stability.

Wool cover | 100% wool | Customised order
The wool cover is made of 100% organic merino wool and must be combined with absorbing inserts to form a complete nappy. The wool must be greased with wool fat (lanolin) before first use to get water-repellent.
Fibres
The outer fabric consists of 100% finest organic merino wool from Mrs.BeAn. The fabric is dyed with vegetable dyes and knitted or spun in Germany. The main dyes used are madder root, mignonette, indigo, yellowwood, logwood, and redwood. A wonderfully natural fabric whose components are sustainably obtained and processed. Wool nappies made of pure wool are soft, stretchable, and extra tight due to the two layers of wool. The cover is lined with either knitted wool, wool fleece, or fine boiled wool made of 100% organic merino wool. As closure you can choose between snaps and velcro.
Closure
The classic wool covers from Jovoh are made with snaps, which are attached in such a way that they do not touch the child's skin. There is also the option of choosing a Velcro fastener. The advantage of Velcro is the stepless adjustment, whereby care must be taken that the so-called “over-snapping” of the wings is not possible. Over-snapping means that the snaps on the outside of the wings are used, and allow slim children a seamless transition between sizes. Velcro requires some care, as e.g. lint can get caught in it. The counter Velcro on the wings must be closed when storing and washing the nappy to prevent the wool fabric from being damaged by the barbs of the Velcro.

Possible combination of inserts
When combining absorbent inserts, there is a rule of thumb that must be observed: Fast-absorbing cotton should always be in contact with the child, with hemp inserts placed underneath. Hemp absorbs more moisture than cotton, but relatively slowly.
- The cotton flat is tripled along the long side and directly placed in the wool cover. Make sure that the flat reaches the edge of the cover, but not beyond. Otherwise leakage is likely to occur.
- For more absorbency, the cotton flat is combined with a hemp booster: along the entire length (booster – long) or selectively (booster – short) where the absorption needs to be greatest. For boys more at the front and for girls in the middle of the cover.
- The hemp flat is placed directly in the wool cover. Fold the flat along the long side for covers of size 1 and along the short side for covers of sizes 2 and 3. You must combine it with a cotton liner or muslin nappy. Pure cotton quickly absorbs moisture and directs it downwards where it is stored in the hemp flat.

Wool Liner
The wool liner is made of 100% organic merino wool and can be used for different purposes:
- Greased, it can be placed directly in the wool cover as an additional layer and serves as extra moisture protection. This can be particularly interesting for children who pee a lot, or if you like to carry your child in a sling. The additional pressure may push the moisture through the cover. With the use of a wool liner, there is less chance of nappy leakage.
- Some children are sensitive to moisture. A wool liner can help here, as the wool transports moisture downwards and the child therefore has a less intense feeling of wetness. The liner is placed ungreased on top, in direct contact with the child, in the wool cover.
Prefold “Lottje”
Beginners are often faced with the question of how best to combine the various absorbent inserts. We took this to heart and designed an insert that can be used without much prior knowledge and in many situations. It can be used during day and night, either folded around the child (being hold together with a nappy fastener) or directly placed in the nappy cover. Easy to use, for parents, grandparents, or the babysitter. Prefold "Lottje" is made from certified organic cotton (muslin fabric) and hemp. Cotton quickly absorbs moisture, while a mixture of hemp/ organic cotton in the central part of the prefold reliably stores it. Overall, the combination of hemp and cotton stores, compared to other inserts, relatively large amounts of moisture and can hence be used for longer change intervals.
Facts
- The core consists of two layer of hemp/organic cotton that is covered by a layer of muslin
- Hence, a fast-absorbing layer of cotton is always in direct contact with the child
- The middle part is sewn on one side only, creating a pocket into which additional absorbent material can be placed
- The muslin fabric is 2-ply sewn
- Flat seams ensure that there are no pressure points
- Directly folded around the child and hold together with a nappy clip
- Folded along the long side, the prefold can be placed directly into the wool cover
- Suitable for covers sizes 2 and 3
- The prefold is unwashed and will shrink by 5-6%
Muslin nappy | small
Muslin nappies made of 100% organic cotton are great companions, especially for newborns and infants. Cotton absorbs the moisture quickly and passes it on downwards, but still allows moisture feedback. It will accompany you throughout the entire nappy time, from the first day until the last. The cloth can be folded as a basic nappy around the child (being held together with a nappy fastener) or directly placed in the wool cover. The small size (60 x 60 cm) is ideal for newborns. The fabric has a relatively high own weight and absorbs sufficient amount of moisture. In addition, the edge of the muslin diaper is simply trimmed, so that the development of pressure points on the child’s skin is reduced.
Material: 100% organic cotton
Size: Approx. 60 x 60 cm
Processing time: 2-4 working days
Basic Package Newborn | Cotton & wool
With this package you save 10% compared to the individual products
The basic package for newborns is the perfect way into the wonderful world of wool nappies. The package is designed in such a way that the absorbing inserts must be washed about every two to three days. The wool covers can dry out after use and must be washed once they are dirty or start to smell.
The package includes three wool covers of your choice, 32 absorbing inserts, lanolin and green olive soap flakes for greasing, wool washing soap for cleaning, and nappy fasteners that are used to hold the muslin nappies together. You receive various absorbing inserts that you can use from the beginning till the end of the nappy time, not only in the first months. The basic package gives you a great opportunity to also test the different absorbing inserts and to discover the most suitable ones that fits your baby’s needs.
Materials
The covers are either lined with knitted wool or wool fleece made of 100% organic merino wool. The outer fabric is made from stretchable (organic) cotton jersey. Stretchable nappies tend to fit longer than nappies made from non-stretchy fabrics (e.g., pure cotton) and this is important to us, especially for the little ones who are growing fast.
