Hemp/cotton | Booster for prefold “Lottje”

Hemp/cotton boosters are thin but absorbent and are used to increase the absorbency of the insoles. This version of the booster is specially designed for the “Lottje” prefold and fits perfectly in the pocket. It is slightly narrower than Jovoh’s long booster. If you use this booster in combination with other systems we recommend to combine it with a quickly absorbent layer of cotton (e.g., terry cloth or muslin nappy). The booster is sewn in two layers.

Description

  • The insert must be washed a couple of times to reach full absorption capacity
  • To speed up the process you can let it soak in water overnight before first use
  • Wash at maximum 60°C and tumble at low temperature

Muslin nappies made of 100% organic cotton are ideal, especially for newborns and infants. Cotton absorbs the moisture quickly and passes it on downwards, but still allows moisture feedback. With this package you save 10% compared to the individual products   The package is specially tailored to the needs of newborns. It contains various absorbent inserts made of hemp and/or organic cotton, as well as an insert of pure merino wool quality. The absorbent inserts can be used for in total five changing intervals.   Scope of delivery   Possible combination of inserts When combining absorbent inserts, there is a rule of thumb that must be observed: Fast-absorbing cotton should always be in contact with the child, with hemp inserts placed underneath. Hemp absorbs more moisture than cotton, but relatively slowly.
  • Muslin nappy, which is either placed in the wool cover or directly folded around the child. For newborns, it can further be combined with a liner made of terrycloth. The loop-like structure of the terry cloth reliably catches the still liquid faeces.
  • The folded terrycloth insert is folded along the short side and placed in the wool cover
  • For more absorbency, the terrycloth folded insert is combined with a hemp booster: along the entire length (booster – long) or selectively (booster – short) where the absorption needs to be greatest. For boys more at the front and for girls in the middle of the nappy.
  • Combination of a muslin nappy with a hemp booster
  • The wool liner can be combined with all the above systems. The liner is suitable in two ways: Greased, it can be placed directly in the wool cover and serves as extra moisture protection. For children who have a strong feeling of wetness, the wool liner is placed ungreased on top of the absorbing insert in direct contact to the child.

Inserts made of 100% organic cotton are ideal as top layer. They absorb the moisture quickly and pass it on downwards, but still allow moisture feedback. The insert is cuddly and soft. It will accompany you throughout the entire time of changing nappies, from the first day until the last.
  • It can be used as a basic nappy, being closed with a snap (see photo)
  • Divided into thirds along the long side, it is ideal for newborn covers (size 1), as it offers sufficient suction volume and at the same time catches the still liquid faeces due to the loop-like structure of the terrycloth fabric

  • Folded along the narrow side, it is ideal for wool covers of size 2 and 3 in combination with highly absorbent inserts or for short changing intervals

Absorbing inserts made of hemp are real suction miracles. They are put beneath a fast absorbing layer of e.g., a pure cotton liner or a cotton folding insert, but they are also great in combination with muslin nappies.
