The Deluxe Wool Nappy Package combines comfort and sustainability and is designed for full-time wool nappy use. Made from the finest organic merino wool, the nappies are soft, breathable, and the perfect choice for baby’s sensitive skin.

The bundle provides everything you need to get started on your diapering journey. It includes wool covers made from pure organic merino wool or (organic) cotton & merino wool. Alongside the covers, you’ll find absorbent inserts that provide reliable protection and long-lasting comfort, even through the night. To complete the package, we’ve included all the essential care products to maintain your wool nappies. These products are specifically chosen to nourish and protect the wool, ensuring it remains soft, effective, and durable for months to come.

 

Wool covers of your choice

With the Deluxe Wool Nappy Package, you have the flexibility to choose six wool covers tailored to your baby’s needs. You can select from 100% wool or cotton/wool covers, depending on your preference. For newborns, we recommend selecting three covers in size 1 to ensure a snug and comfortable fit during those early weeks. It’s also a good idea to add at least one cover in size 2, as babies grow quickly and this size ensures a smooth transition. For the remaining 2 covers, you can choose from size 2, size 3, or One-Size. The One-Size cover is available for cotton/wool covers only. We also recommend using at least one 100% wool cover for longer intervals between nappy changes.

 

Beginner’s Guide from “Die Stoffwickler“

In addition, you receive the Beginner’s Guide from “Die Stoffwickler” on how to get started with cloth nappies, with special emphasis on wool. Spoken language is German but you can select the subtitle in your mothertongue. The course includes twelve videos and a course book. The guide is worth € 49 but you will get it for free as part of this package. More information below.

Wool covers

  • For information on washing and greasing the wool covers, click here.
  • The wool covers must be greased in a lanolin bath before first use.
  • Wash at low speed on a wool programme in the washing machine or by hand.
  • Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach. Do not iron.

Absorbing inserts

  • The absorbing inserts need to be washed several times to achieve full absorption.
    To speed up the process, soak them in water overnight before using them for the first time.
    Afterward, wash them at a maximum of 60°C and tumble dry at a low temperature.
  • Cotton Flat and Cotton Liner: 100% organic cotton
  • Hemp Flat and Hemp Booster: 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton

The package is the perfect introduction into the wonderful world of wool nappies, for beginners and experienced cloth nappy users. It contains one wool cover of your choice, lanolin for greasing, a sample bag of green olive soap flakes, and five different absorbing inserts. The wool cover is made of 100% organic merino wool. The cover must be combined with absorbing inserts and greased with wool fat (lanolin) before first use to get water-repellent. The wool is dyed with vegetable dyes and knitted or spun in Germany.   • The cotton flat is tripled along the long side and directly placed in the wool cover. Make sure that the flat reaches the edge of the cover, but not beyond. Otherwise leakage is likely to occur.
  • For more absorbency, the cotton flat is combined with a hemp booster: along the entire length (booster – long) or selectively (booster – short) where the absorption needs to be greatest. For boys more at the front and for girls in the middle of the cover.
  • The hemp flat is placed directly in the wool cover. Fold the flat along the long side for covers of size 1 and along the short side for covers of sizes 2 and 3. You must combine it with a cotton liner or muslin nappy. Pure cotton quickly absorbs moisture and directs it downwards where it is stored in the hemp flat.
  Scope of delivery A wool washing soap is highly recommended for minor stains. The soap contains lanolin and greases the wool directly when it is washed. The Basic Package for newborns is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of wool nappies. The covers are made from organic merino wool and (organic) cotton jersey. The package is designed so that the absorbent inserts need to be washed every two to three days. The wool covers can dry out after use and must be washed if they are dirty or start to smell. This blog explains how to wash wool. The package includes three wool covers of your choice, 32 absorbing inserts, lanolin and olive soap flakes for greasing, wool washing soap for cleaning, and nappy fasteners that are used to hold the muslin nappies together. You will receive various absorbing inserts that you can use from the beginning till the end of the nappy time, not just in the first few months.   • You can use a nappy bag (also called wet bag) to store the used absorbent inserts. The bag is made from recycled PUL and can simply be hung next to the changing table.

  • As your baby grows and eats more solid foods, the faeces change and become firmer. Nappy liners are a good way to collect the faeces and dispose of them separately.

With this package you save 10% compared to the individual products   The package gives you the opportunity to try out the different absorbent inserts and discover the most suitable combinations for you. It contains various absorbent inserts made of hemp and/or organic cotton, as well as an insert of pure merino wool quality. For all absorbing inserts we use sustainable and natural fibres only. The absorbent inserts can be used for in total four changing intervals.   Scope of delivery   Possible combination of inserts When combining absorbent inserts, there is a rule of thumb that must be observed: Fast-absorbing cotton should always be in contact with the child, with hemp inserts placed underneath.
